Press Release on 28th November 2017Commissioner, JMC reviews arrangements for Eid-i-ul-Nabi
A meeting under the Chairmanship of Sh. Ramesh Kumar (IAS), Commissioner, Jammu Municipal Corporation was convened to review the arrangements for ensuing Eid-i-Milad-ul-Nabi. Directions were issued to all the concerned Officers to ensure deployment of additional sanitation staff for improving the sanitation of different areas especially in the areas around the mosques and on the roads leading to them.
The Executive Engineer (Electrical) of JMC was also directed to ensure that all the Street lights are made functional and also undertake repair of defective lights well before Eid-i-Milad-ul-Nabi and special attention be given to the lights installed on the roads leading to the mosques.
Besides above, the AEE (Transport) was also directed to ensure proper lifting of garbage and also to avoid accumulation of garbage. He was asked to put men and machinery into use so that there could be no chances of accumulation of waste.
The Commissioner, JMC further directed all the concerned officers to provide all kind of help and co-operation required for Eid-i-Milad-ul-Nabi in to the different Govt. agencies including District administration.
