Under Digital India Programme of Govt. of India, on the directions of Commissioner, JMC, Ms. Mandeep Kaur, IAS Jammu Municipal Corporation has initiated the system of e-newsletter from the months of February, 2016 on its website i.e. www.jmcjammu.org whereunder achievements/information of JMC relating to development works, plans, projects, sanitation drives, anti-encroachment drives etc. are exclusively available on the e-newsletter for the month of March, April and May, 2016. The e-newsletter is a platform to inform all the stakeholders about various policy initiatives and other activities of JMC. It is also an effort to bring different information from all the sections of JMC and make it available to stakeholders through on-line mode. The e-newsletter of JMC will serve as an integrated information platform to keep everyone updated with the ongoing endeavors of JMC. It is also a logical step in generating awareness among stake holders about the working of JMC. JMC would try to bridge the gap of information about the working of JMC in public domain.
Through the medium of this e-newsletter, the general public is also requested to share their valuable comments/recommendations in respect of functioning of Jammu Municipal Corporation so that same may be reflected in the e-newsletter and changes which seems to be good/valuable for the working of JMC may be taken into account. The Commissioner, JMC also requests the general public to extend its full cooperation and join hands with JMC to achieve the desired results.
