Press release on 2nd March 2019Programme regarding “Swachh Bharat Abhyan’” was organized in collaboration with Govt. M.A.M College, Jammu.
Today on 02.03.19, a programme on the topic “Swachh Bharat Abhyan’” was organized on the the directions of Hon’ble Mayor, JMC Sh. Chander Mohan Gupta, Hon’ble Dy. Mayor, Adv. Purnima Sharma and Commissioner, JMC Sh. Pankaj Magotra in collaboration with Govt. M.A.M College, Jammu.
During the programme, Hon’ble Mayor Sh. Chader Mohan Gupta was the Chief Guest,Hon’ble Dy. Mayor JMC, Adv. Purnima Sharma and Chairman Swachh Bharat Mission Committee, JMC Sh. Suraj Prakash Padha was the Guest of Honour.
Principal Govt. M.A.M College, Dr. P.K Sharma presided over the function and welcomed the guests. The programme started with lectures delivered by Mr. Jorawar singh, Associated Representative from JMC and Dr. Zafar Iqbal, Nodal Officer Solid Waste Management, JMC regarding the topic Solid Waste Management enhancing the Mission of Swachh Bharat Abhiyan by Hon'ble Prime Minister of India, Sh. Narinder Modi. Those present at the function were told that Municipal waste is composed of organic and inorganic materials and from organic cooling gas is prepared after the process of fermentation which make completed within few days and from plastic material R4 steps are made as Reduce, Reuse, Recycle and Recovery. Here recovery of energy is done.
Speaking on the occasion Mayor, JMC said that he expected all the residents of Jammu to complete the exercise of the mission to bring Jammu in top 10 cleanest Cities of India. He thanked the college administration and the students especially those from NCC and NSS for their cooperation in the mission and hoped they would continue to do so in the future also. The entire programme was coordinated by Prof. Karan Singh of NCC. Those present on the occasion were Dr. Divinder Sharma, Dr. Sumesh Sharma, Dr. Harbinder Singh, Prof. Subash Chander Sharma, Prof. Muzamil Hussain and Prof. Jaswinder Singh.
