Jammu Municipal Corporation started sanitation drive from 13.10.2020 at Transport Yard, Narwal, Jammu on the directions of Miss Avny Lavasa, IAS, Commissioner, JMC & overall supervision of Miss Tinna Mahajan KAS, Secretary JMC wherein d both men & machinery had been deployed for this special drive.
In total 10 Tippers; 20 no. labour engaged for nallah desiltings & 20 no. SKC’s are working during the entire sanitation drive. During the drive, desilting was done in nallah & deep drains falling in the area & huge dumps of garbage also removed so as to give clean & healthy atmosphere & improved sanitation to the general public. Approximately 120 MTP garbage alongwith silt had been removed till now and the drive is still continuing.
The Commissioner, JMC further appealed the general public to come forward and join hands with Jammu Municipal Corporation in maintaining proper sanitation to achieve the goal of Clean Jammu Green Jammu.
Among others Health Officer, Chief Transport Officer, field staff of transport & sanitation also remained present during the drive.
