JMC has launched new Dynamic Citizen Centric Website and Mobile application

Jammu Municipal Corporation has launched its New Dynamic Citizen Centric Website and Mobile Application inaugurated by Dr. Pawan Kotwal, IAS, Divisional Commissioner, Jammu under Digital India Programme of Govt. of India in presence of Ms. Mandeep Kaur, IAS, Commissioner, Jammu Municipal Corporation alongwith other Officers of Jammu Municipal Corporation. It is Jammu Municipal Corporation’s e-governance initiative towards transparent and efficient governance. The Citizens can download the mobile application from Google Play store and can forward their grievances to the concerned quarter by using this mobile application. Some are key features of website and mobile application:- The general public can register their grievances online through the website/Mobile App. The GPS/GIS based location tracking system will track the location of the complainant and will send him the details of the concerned official alongwith his contact no. for follow up. A push message will also be sent to the next hierarchical level official till the grievance is redressed. The applicant can file RTI applications online and he will also be replied online through his registered email address. The requisite fee for RTI application shall also be paid by him online through the e-payment mode. There is also provision for online 1st appeal of the registered RTI if he is not satisfied with the reply of PIO. The payment in respect of all the services shall be received through the e-payment mode via bank payment gateway. This e-payment facility will also be applicable through the mobile App. Citizens can pay their sanitation charges, building permission fee, rent etc. online through various modes viz. credit/debit card, net banking etc. Citizens can apply for Trade/Rehri licence, NOC etc. through this website. The requisite payments in this case shall also be received both through the website as well as through the mobile App. The GIS based location mapping system will facilitate the early identification of the encroachments/un-disposed garbage etc. and the same after getting removed/cleared can be viewed by the senior functionaries from their respective locations. This technology will also help the Engineers in identification of the work sites linked through the Google Maps & Google earth. “Mobile Application : Through this mobile application citizens can register their grievances online and can attach the photographs of the grievance. The administration at Town Hall can view this grievance through the Google map by using GPS/GIS based location mapping technique. Citizens can also pay their rents, user charges, RTI fee etc. through bank payment gateway online” The Commissioner, JMC requested to all the general public that they should take benefit of these initiatives as these meant for minimizing the sufferings of the general masses and JMC will also continue to put more efforts for providing better services to the general public at their door steps.
