Fogging drive by Jammu Municipal Corporation in Karan Nagar Area.

To further intensify the cleanliness and fogging drive, Jammu Municipal Corporation covered Karan Nagar Area and also launched cleanliness drive at Maharaja Hari Singh Municipal Park Jammu. The drive was launched by Ms. Babila Rakwal (KAS), Director, Floriculture, Jammu, Mr. Rajesh Sharma, (KAS), Joint Commissioner (A), JMC accompanied by Mr. Neeraj Gupta (KAS) Chief Account Officer, JMC and Mr. Ranjit Singh (KAS), Secretary, JMC. The residents of different areas appreciated JMC for launching this kind of drives for eradicating diseases and to make the City neat and clean. They also assured their whole hearted cooperation to Jammu Municipal Corporation to conduct this kind of activities to make Jammu city a clean and green city. The residents also assured to JMC that they will put their waste in the dustbins installed by JMC in their respective areas. Mr. Neeraj Gupta (KAS), Chief Accounts Officer, JMC while speaking on the occasion advised the people gathered on the spot not to throw their household waste openly in the parks, as it gives bad impression and also create unhealthy atmosphere. He added that it is our duty to keep our surroundings neat and clean by extending full cooperation to Jammu Municipal Corporation. Joint Commissioner (A) JMC appealed the public in general to cooperate with Jammu Municipal Corporation in keeping Jammu Clean & Green and also not to use polythene carry bags. He requested general public through electronic & print media to use dustbins / containers installed in their localities for throwing garbage to make Swachh Bharat Mission a successful mission. Among others Dr. Anita Salgotra, Health Officer, Mr. Tariq Raina, Chief Transport Officer, senior citizens of Karan Nagar area and other field staff of JMC participated in the drive.
