2nd Press Release on 3rd December 2017JMC conducts drive against illegal Constructions/Encroachments
On the directions of Commissioner Jammu Municipal Corporation Mr. Ramesh Kumar (IAS), Joint Commissioner Administration Mr. Rajesh Sharma (KAS), along with Chief Enforcement Officer Mr. Rajesh Gupta, Enforcement Officer Mr. Kamni Kumar and Enforcement Staff while continuing the drive against the illegal constructions and encroachments undertook a day long extensive drive in the different parts of Jammu city.
During the drive two numbers of shops which were being raised unauthorisdely without seeking permission from JMC were demolished at Qasim Nagar Jammu by pressing men and machinery into service. The demolition drive was conducted with the help of police force from Bahu Fort Police Station.
Besides this, the team also foiled an attempt of encroachment of lane at Trikuta nagar ext. by demolishing the Gate which was being erected by encroaching upon part of lane there.
The Jammu Municipal Corporation once again Appeals to the General Public to refrain from raising unauthorized construction/s failing which the demolition/sealing of the unauthorized structure will take place. Further it is also requested not to dump the building material on road/lane side which causes obstruction to the public and also hindrance in the smooth flow of vehicular traffic.
