Press Release on 22nd September 2020Jammu Municipal Corporation conducted thematic cleanliness & fumigation drive.
Jammu Municipal Corporation conducted thematic cleanliness & fumigation drive alongwith spray of sodium hypochlorite solution in view of Covid '19. The areas covered today include Govt. Gandhi Nagar Hospital, ward no. 20, 21 etc. During the drive, desilting was also done in nallah & deep drains falling in these areas & huge dumps of garbage also removed so as to give clean & healthy atmosphere & improved sanitation to the general public.
Jammu Municipal Corporation deployed both men & machinery for special drive conducted on the directions of Ms Avni Lavasa, IAS, Commissioner, JMC & overall supervision of Ms Tinna Mahajan KAS, Secretary JMC. The deployment include 04 tippers/ fogging machines/ spraying pumps/20 nallah labour.
The Commissioner further appealed the general public to come forward and join hands with Jammu Municipal Corporation in maintaining proper sanitation and also to stop spreading of corona virus as without the help of citizens it is hard to achieve the goal of Clean Jammu Green Jammu.
Among others Health Officer, CTO, field staff of transport & sanitation also remained present during the drive.
