Jammu Municipal Corporation conducted capacity building/training and interaction programme regarding one of the component of the Swachh Bharat Mission i.e. IEC in which the Hon’ble Mayor Sh. Chander Mohan Gupta, Dy. Mayor , Advocate Purnima Sharma and all the Hon’ble Councillors participated giving their suggestions and feedback for the effective implementation of Swachh Bharat Mission. The workshop/interaction took place in four groups following the protocols of Covid-19. The All India Institute of Local Self Government gave a detailed presentation on the forthcoming IEC activities to be done in the Jammu City. They educated the participants about the Swachh Survekshan & improving the ranking of Jammu City. The awareness activities will be undertaken in two months like house to house awareness surveys, social media campaigns, nukkad natak and any many other things will be done to create awareness of Swachh Bharat Mission among the citizens of Jammu City. The workshop had been conducted under the guidance of Commissioner, JMC, Miss Avny Lavasa along with Joint Commissioner (A), JMC, Sh. Ashish Kumar Gupta, Secretary, JMC, Miss. Tinna Mahajan and other senior officers and officials of Jammu Municipal Corporation. The JMC officials and the All India Institute of Local Self Government impressed upon seeking the coordination of ward Councillors to implement the IEC activities and to make City Garbage Free.
