Under the Chairmanship of Hon’ble Mayor Jammu Municipal Corporation Sh. Chandermohan Gupta, Hon’ble Deputy Mayor Smt. Purnima Sharma, Commissioner JMC Ms. Avny Lavasa (IAS), Secretary JMC / Nodal Officer SBM, Ms. Tinna Mahajan, Hon’ble Councillor Ward No. 13 Smt. Rama, a Drawing / Painting competition has been organised under IEC (Information Education & Communication) Component of Swachh Bharat Mission (Urban) at Ambedkar Bhawan, Resham Ghar Colony, Ward No. 13 on Saturday, 12th December, 2020 in Jammu City wherein participants of all age groups took part, while the Event was Judged by OP Sharma, Director of Centre for Creative Arts, Jammu.
Registration for the Event was held at the IEC Section of Jammu Municipal Corporation. Participants were told to use Sketch colors/ crayons/water colors or Poster colors in order to boost their creativity for the theme of the event i.e Swachh Bharat Mission.
All the participants were awarded with Participation Certificates, where as the Top 3 winners were awarded with Trophies, Certificates & Cash price .
Hon’ble Mayor and Commissioner, JMC stated on the occasion that aim of organizing such painting competition is to make aware the children about the importance of sanitation so that they further spread the message for involvement of every citizen in maintaining proper sanitation in and around their surroundings and added that it is the duty of every citizen to come forward and extend their helping hand to JMC to achieve the desired/fruitful result in respect of sanitation.
