Press Release on 2nd March 2021Press release regarding Swacch Survekshan 2021 and ongoing Awareness campaign/IEC under Swacch Bharat Mission in the Jammu city.
Under the chairmanship of Honorable Dy. Mayor of Jammu Municipal Corporation Adv. Purnima Sharma, and Commissioner JMC Ms. Avny lavasa (IAS), a press conference was held regarding Swacch Survekshan 2021 and ongoing Awareness campaign/IEC under Swacch Bharat Mission in the Jammu city. A briefing was given regarding the need and importance of the solid waste management, Survekshan 2021 and the role of citizens in making the Jammu city Clean and Beautiful. Press conference was organized by the Jammu Municipal Corporation, All India institute of local Self government (JMC-IEC Partners) and 92.7 FM. Dy. Mayor apprises of the various programmes initiated by the Jammu municipal corporation including Cleaniness drives, Nukkad Nataks, Workshops, Events with Educational institutes, Ward of the week Award to those where maximum participation taking place, Be a swacchta Hero campaign and many other activities. The design T shirt conveying the message of “Be A Swacchta Hero Campaign” was also displayed to spread the awarness of Cleaniness. The Honorable requested the citizens of Jammu city to help the jammu Municipal corporation to achieve the goal of zero waste set up by the organization and make the city of temples the cleaniness city in India. She also urges citizens of Jammu city to participate in the Swacch Survekshan 2021 and vote for the Jammu city to improve its ranking. The dignitaries present in the conference were Honorable Adv. Deputy mayor Smt. Purnima Sharma, Chairman Swacch Bharat-Sh. Yashpaul Sharma, Chairman Health and Sanitation-Mr. Narendar Singh, Chairman Social justice-Mr. Kuldeep Singh Chib, Joint commissioner(A) Mr. Sudhir Bali-KAS, Secretary JMC- Ms. Tinna Mahajan-KAS, Health officer- Dr. Sanjogita Sudan, Rajat Gupta-Project Manager(IEC), Dheeraj Singh Manhas (Project Manager-2-IEc), Ankush (ZAM-IEC), Vikrant Sharma-JandK Head(Big92.7 FM),Mr. Siddharth Mahajan, Station Head and RJ Juhie conducted the conference.
