Jammu Municipal Corporation has signed the agreement with Centre for Environment Education for setup a plastic recycling facility in Bandurakh, where 5 Mt plastic waste will be convert in useful product after recycling. For understanding the characterization of MSW and finding the GAP in Waste Management, today CEE has organized workshop on Waste Management with association with Quality Council of India in conference hall of Jammu Municipal corporation where they brief the aspects. Participant were Sanitation Officer, Assistant Sanitation Officer and Sanitary officers of all three zones.
Workshop has been inaugurated by Hon’ble Mayer Sh. Chandra Mohan gupta and he assured to QCI & CEE team that full cooperation will be provided by the JMC. On this occasion Dy-Mayor ADV Poornima Sharma , Chairman –Swachh Bharat Committee Sh. Hardeep Singh , Chairman Public Health & Sanitation Committee Sh. Raj Kumar Tarkhan , Commissioner, JMC Sh. Rahul Yadav, Joint Commissioner H&S Sh. Kulbhushan Khajuria and Health officer Sh. Vinod Sharma ji also presented.
