A press conference by Jammu Deputy Mayor was held in Conference hall
of Jammu Municipal Cor. Today on 19-11-2022. While briefing the media
persons, Hon'ble Deputy Mayor Sh. Baldev Singh Billawaria highlighted
various prevailing issues at length and their immediate redressal. The
major issues include recruitment of Human Resources upto sanctioned
strength in the newly constructed 50 bedded Hospital at Gangyal. He also
insisted about the long pending issues of 600 SKC's and their immediate
redressal. Earlier the Deputy Mayor called on Hon'ble LG. of J&K UT to
discuss various developmental issues. LG. gave him a patience hearing
and assured for corporation. Deputy Mayor while interacting with media
stressed on proper sanitation of Jammu city and proper execution of all
projects of smart city. He also appealed to General public of the city for
feedback on all activities of MC and Smart City. Further Hon'ble Deputy
Mayor thanked to Hon'ble LG. for taking keen interest in development
of J&K UT. Deputy Mayor appreciated and extended special thanks to
Hon'ble LG for his initiative in e-office and digitalization of the system.
He said that e-office and digitalization would bring transparency in the
system. Deputy Mayor further stressed to expedite establishment of rehri
zones in all 75 wards of MC in a rationalized way.
During the press conference Deputy Mayor was accompanied by
Chairman Health & Sanitation Sh. R.k Tarkhan and Chairman Social
Justice Sh. Ajay Gupta. Chairman Health & Sanitation Sh. R.k Tarkhan
while briefing the media persons stressed for restoration and functioning
of Chenab Filtration Plant in order to mitigate the public cry for water. He
also appealed to Government for earlier completion of PHE projects and
opening of PWD road occupied by police at Channi Rama. Chairman
Social Justice Sh. Ajay Gupta while interacting with media persons
stressed for removal of misappropriation in CAPD department and its
smooth functioning.
