Press Release on 24th Sept. 2016JMC SEALS FOUR NO’s OF SHOPS AT GANDHI NAGAR JAMMU
On the instructions of Dr. Manmohan Singh (KAS) Commissioner, Jammu Municipal Corporation Jammu and under the supervision of Sh. R.S. Jamwal (KAS) Joint Commissioner (Administration), the Enforcement staff sealed four no’s of shops constructed by Sh. Sunil Handa S/o Sh. PC Handa at 44 C/C Gandhi Nagar, Jammu under section 8 (1) of J&K Control of Building Operation Act, 1988 as the said person has raised the four no’s of shops in the rear set back area unauthorizedly and in violation of the land use of the area from residential to commercial one. The said illegal construction seriously effects the planned development of Jammu City and contravenes the zoning regulation.
The sealing operation has been conducted with the help of Police Force from Police Station Gandhi Nagar, Jammu.
The Jammu Municipal Corporation appeals to the General Public to refrain from making encroachments and unauthorized constructions / Conversion in violation of land use otherwise strict action as admissible under rule leading to demolition / sealing will be taken.
