Press Release 15/02/2016JMC SEALES THE PREMISES IN GANDHI NAGAR AND DISMENTAL THE MOBILE TOWERS
On the instruction of Ms. Mandeep Kaur IAS, Commissioner Jammu Municipal Corporation and under the supervision of Sh. R.S Jamwal KAS Joint Commissioner (Adm), the Enforcement Staff led by the Enforcement Officer Jammu Municipal Corporation sealed the premises of Sh. Mahesh Kumar Raina S/o Sh. Bal Krishan Raina at 722-A, Gandhi Nagar, Jammu for erecting the unauthorized construction work without the permission of Jammu Municipal Corporation and by fixing the iron rolling shutter to put structure for commercial use against the land use of the area from residential to commercial one. The action has been taken under section 8 (1) of J&K Control of Building Operation Act, 1988.
Besides this, the Enforcement Staff had also dismantle and removed the mobile towers at Trikuta Nagar Extension and at Rajiv Nagar, Jammu which were erected without permission and requisite genuine documents required for the erection of the Mobile Towers within the jurisdiction of Jammu Municipal Corporation. The materials used in the erection of Mobile Towers were seized from the sites after their removal and was impounded in the Municipal Corporation Yard. The residents of the localities hailed the decisions and appreciated the actions taken by Jammu Municipal Corporation in the aforesaid violations.
The operation has been conducted with the help and co-operation of police force from Gandhi Nagar Police Station and also from District Police Lines Jammu.
The Jammu Municipal Corporation once again appeals to General Public to refrain from making encroachments and unauthorized constructions otherwise action as admissible under rule leading to demolition / sealing will be taken.
